My partner is someone pretty chilled. We get on well as I am the complete opposite and opposites attract, right? He often tells me that “I don’t know how to relax”.

He has a point and my eldest son recently confirmed it and commented that as soon as I have some free time, I fill it with ‘stuff’. I could stop and do nothing, but I always seem to look for something to do… Mind you, with a part-time job, a business, a house to run, a partner, 3 kids and 2 cats, I don’t need to look far to find something that needs doing! Can you relate?

So, I listened, and this is therefore a scheduled post!

Yes, I did a blue Peter and prepared it in advance - to be perfectly honest and transparent, a lot of my posts are prepared in advance, this is the life of a business owner with a portfolio career, a lot of planning is required to keep all the plates spinning…

If all goes well, by the time you read this, I will be lounging by a pool in (hopefully!) warm and sunny Greece and I promised myself not to work whilst I am there!

It will be hard as I know my head will be buzzing with ideas and reminders that there is still so much left to do, but I trust that a week off will do my body and my brain some good, and that I will come back replenished and ready to pick up things where I left them.

I will report when I get back!

When was the last time you completely switched off (and I am not talking about the few hours when FB, IG and WhatsApp went down few days ago!)?

Can you carve some time when you do something for yourself? Can you block some time in your diary and make it a regular thing?

Who do you need to talk to and what do you need to do in order for this to happen?

Let me know if you need some help enjoying your down time.
