Is Coaching for you?
Sometimes when facing a challenge we might experience feelings of unease, unhappiness, or confusion, and find it difficult to find the answers we seek to move forward.
Coaching starts with the principle that you are the expert in your own life, that you have the answers to any situation you may face and that all you need to achieve your personal and professional goals is already available to you. It helps you to create and experience the life that is aligned with who you truly are.
Coaching is for people who want more from their life & business and are ready to invest to make it happen.
Coaching vs Mentoring.
Often used interchangeably and both based on one-to-one conversations, Coaching and Mentoring constitute however different development approaches with their own combination of attributes:
Coaching
Focused on the future and solutions rather than problems, coaching can be summed up as a non-judgmental, open, collaborative, client-led and confidential conversation where a coach helps a client go inward to explore a topic and find their own solutions to their challenges. Coaches do not generally offer solutions themselves or share their views.
Mentoring
Mentoring is expertise-driven and is all about sharing that knowledge or experience. Mentors can provide guidance or advice based on their experience or offer introductions with useful contacts in their network, both of which can fast track results. They might also use the skills of coaching (eg: asking questions) to prompt reflection.
